Here’s a preview of the MUCH anticipated third installment of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse!

In an exclusive interview with IESB, Peter Facinelli about the Twilight phenomenon, working with Eclipse director David Slade and find out his feelings on a two-part Breaking Dawn.

Read IESB’s exclusive interview with Dr. Carlisle Cullen himself, Peter Facinelli, below:

IESB: This Twilight stuff, is really a phenomenon, who would’ve known it was going to be this big. When you signed up for the first one, did you just think it was going to be a small little vampire movie?

Peter Facinelli: I knew there was a fanbase of the books, but, somewhere along the line of finishing the movie and it coming out, that fanbase grew exponentially. But we were just trying to make a good movie for the fans of the books, we had no idea that it would turn into this, but, I am always very grateful for the fan support and love that interaction with them because their energy feeds me.

IESB: David Slade, how was he on set? Every director seems to bring something a little different to the franchise, how different was Slade, considering he knows the vampire genre.

In a brilliant new short interview, New Moon director Chris Weitz talks about what he’s most looking forward to seeing in David Slade directed Eclipse.

He is anticipating seeing Elizabeth Reaser and Peter Facinelli play Edward’s parents in the movie.

“I have a special interest in seeing Peter and Elizabeth tear people’s heads off,” he said. “Knowing them, and knowing how kooky and delightful they are, I’m going to find seeing them being ultra-violent very interesting indeed.”

Personally, I’m not too happy with this, but let’s see what develops further.

I have this from several sources, and it’s definitive. Filming on the back-to-back movies would begin in mid-October, and Summit Entertainment is looking at “high end” directors. Breaking Dawn is the longest in Stephenie Meyer’s 4-book series lengthwise and it’s the most graphic – presenting birth, attempted murder, death, and of course vampire bites.

So Peter Facinelli just spoke out about Eclipse, revealing that viewers will definitely get to see a new side of Carlisle. More specifically, he stated that the Cullens have all of these abilities, but they have to hide them most of the time. He also said that the third installment has some great battle scenes and a whole lot of action.

Peter Facinelli recently was quoted by a New York magazine where he talks about the cast’s training routines.

“I’m really excited about Eclipse — we did a lot of training for that movie, like six weeks of fight training,” he told us. “It was funny because it became almost like an in-house competition and everyone was always in the gym or working out. Sometimes we’d work out like three times a day. One time, I was in my apartment and I was going down to do my workout, and the elevator doors opened and Kellan Lutz was [in there] doing push-ups. I was like, ‘Okay, Kellan, you win! You win the competition!’”
